This interminable gout is wearing on me, but I console my self in the fact that I have kilns and so am closer to being able to start making Tiles!

Yes! The SCAtoday.net story was wrong, wrong, wrong! I happened to have a question that was just up his 'alley' and so sent him mail from the link on his web site. Of course I was too embarrassed to tell him I had believed the story that he was dead, plus I did not want to remind him of his fathers passing. But he replied directly and in his 'voice'.

He is alive.

Greetings to all,

I have a question for any and all of you, namely:

Does anyone have a copy of or knowledge of how to get a copy of

Libro di Cucina written in the 14th century by an unknown tuscan author. It was 1st published in 1835 by Francesco Zambrini of Bologna.

Ideally it would be a translated or transliterated copy, but I will take what I can get.

Whether you can help me in this quest or not, I thank you,

Volrad

I now believe this to have been in error. I have have been told that a couple people saw Cariadoc since the supposed date of death.

It has just come to my attention that Cariadoc of the Bow has passed from this world. I guess I was so tied up in my life that I missed the ending of His Grace's.

It is hard to realize that the next time I am at Pennsic I will not see his classes listed or sit at his fire listening to stories and songs and poems.

I will miss him.

This last weekend was Kingdoms Crusade, an event that takes place yearly in Atlantia at the Boarder with the East. Late on Friday, my lady and I decided to go. While we arrived late on Saturday we did get some shopping dome, I coifs and coin bags, she beads and cloth.

We had decided that we needed to just start attending things again. Not try to financially justify the time we had at the event in relation to the fee, not wait 'til we had renewed memberships: just go. All and all it was a success we had a chance to be slightly active in the Society and to know we can actually go to an event on the spur of the moment.

Well I need to go for now, but I will write again soon.

Yours in service,

Volrad of Frisia

Good evening to those that might read this. I hope you are well and that you have good food and wine in the merry time of year. I wish you well and only regret the lack of any important news to share. So with that I will leave, but I shall call again.
